The History of Sporten starts when a ranger Rudolf Gabessam from Fryšava brought his firs pair of skis from Styria in and then another pair from Finland in 1892. Master Joiner by the name of Adolf Slonek then started making skis based on the patterns of skis that Rudolf brought. This story continues to this day as the whole production of Sporten is still based in Nové Město na Moravě.
